In early May, I (Bob) went on a school trip (just some senior children and a few staff) to Tbilisi to visit the National Museum, see some churches and have a picnic! There is a vast, new church in Tbilisi, which is even bigger than it looks because it has large underground areas.
There are also much older churches including this famous one at Mtsketa.

The picnic was fun: salad, bread, cake and wine - for everyone.

I was astonished at one church site to run into two Chelsea pensioners. They were taking a week's vacation in Georgia. I took their picture and promised to send them a copy. I shall have to do it via Diana since the mail is so slow and unreliable.
